Role Biography

The Foundations

I was born on a sheep and grain station in NSW, Australia. My career began with the hard work of hospitality over the split and double shifts in a large 5-star hotel. During this time I started university and undertook study around my work schedule. I was offered a great opportunity in the hotel to volunteer in the Human Resources department by day and work in the cocktail bar by night. I then spent a few years in the Construction industry and was tapped on the shoulder to apply for a role with World Vision (WV). It was an innovative opportunity and during the seven years with the organisation I was able to do some pioneering work in organisation development across Australia, East Africa and Washington D.C. I also completed an applied Masters degree during this time.

Leadership & Learning

When I returned to Australia, I joined Telstra and led the Transformation team that focused on people and performance across 800 leaders in a customer facing business unit. I also felt that I needed to do further study and make sense of the experiences I was having in Leadership. I participated in a program over two years in France. This was an experiential program in the study of human dynamics. After four years and some incredible learning, I left Telstra and began consulting in leadership.

Leading a Consulting Organisation

Through The Global Leadership Practice (TGLP) I initiated many public access programs that allowed people to experience dynamics in real time. I also travelled and worked extensively across the world with various people and organisations. I had some brilliant mentors, loud resistors and exceptional experiences. I did further post graduate study in neuroscience and leadership. At the core of my work was a deep understanding of the systemic and integral dimensions of being alive on the planet. That understanding and working on the experience of our connectedness with each other, animals and nature is fundamental to our existence.

I spent 10 years leading consulting teams and working with executive leadership teams across all sectors, running programs of work that connected leaders across whole organisations and created innovative learning environments that utilised multi modal methods. I then co created a Masters Program in Leadership and Organisational Analysis with the Grubb Institute in the UK. In 2018, I closed TGLP, began freelancing and undertook a PhD in Psychology.

Current Practice

At the core of my work is learning and accompanying clients as they navigate their various roles in the world. I take an integrated systemic approach to the work I undertake. I am an Academic Fellow of the Roffey Park Institute in the UK, working on the International Masters in People and Organisation Development. The Professional Supervision programme at the University of Divinity, Australia also provides me the opportunity to extend my thinking and practice as an Academic Associate. I am a student of the Centre of Systemic Constellations in the UK and am currently participating in applied practice training. I have co-created ways of working with clients that places wellbeing of the whole at the centre of the work we are doing. This approach has proven to be enabling and liberating. I have continued to work on alignment of body, soul and roles as I take up the accountability of trusted advisor to leaders in various organisations and sectors.
